Our Story

Owned and operated by Dr. Suzanne Quigley, Red Bank Orthodontics was established in 1983 by Dr. William Wood. Dr. Quigley was born in Red Bank and raised locally in Lincroft. Her sister, Beth, had a high school job at a local department store in The Grove in Shrewsbury where Dr. Wood used to shop. She was helping him there one day and they started talking about her plans to attend Holy Cross College, which happens to be Dr. Wood's alma mater. Many years later when reading the alumni magazine issued in the fall of 2001, he recognized Beth as one of the 9/11 victims who graduated from Holy Cross. Upon learning that Beth’s sister was an orthodontist living in the area, Dr. Wood introduced himself to Dr. Quigley at a professional meeting. Over the years they slowly became friends and she joined the practice in 2018. During the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown of dental offices, Dr. Quigley and her husband renovated the office and she subsequently bought the practice.

Dr. Wood continues to work on a more limited basis with Dr. Quigley while ensuring continuity of care for the patients. He enjoys having more time to spend with his family and to enjoy hobbies like painting and playing guitar.

Dr. Quigley enjoys finally practicing in the town in which her roots go back several generations, knowing that this is where she was guided to be.
